Dionay is a village and a former French village with 114 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It was part of the arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Le Grésivaudan . The inhabitants are called Dionaysia .

With effect from December 31, 2015, the former municipality was merged with the neighboring municipality of Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye to form Commune nouvelle Saint Antoine l'Abbaye (spelling without hyphens). Only Dionay has received the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye.
