Dionisie Popa

Dionisie Popa (born May 19, 1938 in Cluj , † 2005 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian glass artist and designer. He was one of the most important in his country.

Life

After completing elementary school and high school in Blaj , Dionisie Popa began studying glass design at the National University of the Arts Bucharest (then Institutul de Arte Plastice " Nicolae Grigorescu " ) and graduated in 1970. He then settled in Bucharest until the end of his life low.

Work in public

Dionisie Popa created, among other things, an oversized glass spider for the park in Făgăraș , participated in the creation and design of the lighting for the Bucharest National Theater Ion Luca Caragiale ( Teatrul Naţional Ion Luca Caragiale ) and created the foundation board for the Iron Gate 1 power plant at the Iron Gate 1 power plant on the Danube .
