Dirk Beuchler (born February 9, 1971 in Kampala , Uganda ) is a German handball trainer and former player .
Career
Beuchler began playing handball in 1979 at the Mainz district club SC Lerchenberg and moved to TSG Eintracht Mombach in 1984 , to TSV Schott Mainz in 1986 and to SG Wallau / Massenheim in 1987 , where he played in the active area from 1990 onwards. The circle runner was with the team twice German champions , twice DHB cup winners and won the IHF cup once . In 1995 Beuchler moved to TuS Nettelstedt , for which he played for six years. In 2001 he went to Spain to join SDC San Antonio . With San Antonio he became Spanish champion , reached the final round of the EHF Champions League and won the European Cup Winners' Cup . He then went to Algeciras BM for two seasons and ended his active time with a 2007 season at BM Huesca .
Beuchler then worked as a team manager at SDC San Antonio from 2007 to 2009. In July 2009 he returned to Germany and became a coach for the second division club SV Post Schwerin . After two seasons he moved to the handball Bundesliga and was the successor to Volker Mudrow coach of TBV Lemgo . TuS N-Lübbecke trained from the 2013/14 season until his leave of absence in March 2015 . From November 2015 Beuchler worked as an A-youth trainer at JSG NSM-Nettelstedt. In the summer of 2017, Beuchler took over the Bundesliga club VfL Gummersbach , which he coached until November 2017.
During his playing days, Beuchler played eight games for the German national team .
He has been working for Deutsche Vermögensberatung since May 2018 .
