Disel Pensa ( Russian Дизель Пенза ) is an established in 1955 Russian hockey club from Pensa . The team plays in the Vysschaya Hockey League and plays its home games in the Penza Ice Sports Palace. The club colors are blue, white and yellow.
history
The club was founded in 1955 under the name Burewestnik Pensa. 1963 was the first of a total of two championship titles in the Wysschaja League . In addition, the team was renamed Diselist Pensa in the same year. It was under this name that Penza won its second title in 1974. In 1996 Diselist was promoted to the super league , and again in 1998. From 1998 to 2010 they played again in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga. The nickname has been shortened to Disel since 2002. 2010 Disel Pensa was added to the Wysschaja Hockey League , the successor to the Wysschaja Liga.
Disel Pensa acts as the farm team of KHL participant HK Sotschi .
