The district of Supe Puerto is located in the province of Barranca in the Lima region of western Peru . It was founded on December 5, 1952. The 11.51 km² district had 12,855 inhabitants at the 2017 census. In 1993 the population was 10,281, in 2007 it was 11,097. The district and the city of the same name, Supe Puerto, are virtually identical.
Geographical location
The Supe Puerto district is located on the Pacific coast almost 160 km north-northwest of the state capital Lima . The district borders in the north on the district Barranca , in the south on the district Supe . The national road 1N ( Panamericana ) runs through the district.
