Marktgölitz village church
The Evangelical Lutheran village church of Marktgölitz stands in the walled cemetery of Marktgölitz , a district of Probstzella in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia . The hall church was built in 1733 on the foundation walls of a previous Romanesque church. The church tower is in the west . Its top floor with the sound arcades is slated . The belfry is hidden behind it . On it sits a bulbous hood with the tower clock . An open lantern with the tower ball crowns the tower. The nave is covered with a hipped gable roof .
The interior with its two-storey galleries is covered with a wooden barrel vault. Around 1905 it was provided with stencil painting. The church furnishings include a pulpit altar from 1733, which is decorated with carvings. The organ with 15 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built by Adam Eifert in 1915 .
