Neidenberga village church

The Evangelical Lutheran village church Neidenberga stands in the walled cemetery of Neidenberga , a district of Drognitz in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia . The parish Neidenberga belongs to the parish area Drognitz in Kirchenkreis Rudolstadt-Saalfeld the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

description

The rectangular hall church got its present form in 1769 through a fundamental rebuilding of the medieval chapel . It has a three-sided end in the east and a slate-covered roof turret on which a small hood sits, which is crowned with a tower ball . As a result of structural interventions, the windows have different shapes. The nave has a single-storey gallery and is covered with a flat ceiling. On the pulpit altar is a relief depicting the Lord's Supper . The predella comes from a winged altar , made around 1520 in the Saalfeld school . The church furnishings include carved statues of St. Anne , Mary , Sebastian , Barbara and Magdalena . The organ with 6 registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built around 1850 by an unknown organ builder .
