Dorina Mihai Lupu (* 1. June 1981 in Bucharest as Dorina Mihai ) is a former Romanian saber fencer .
Career
Dorina Mihai's greatest success was winning the 2003 World Cup in Havana . In the final, she prevailed against the reigning world champion Tan Xue . In the following year, she was in Copenhagen with the team Vice European champion . Mihai was qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , but canceled her participation in advance because of her pregnancy. Together with her husband Cristian Lupu , also a fencer, she had a son. Her comeback was without further success, so she ended her active career in 2007 and started working for the Romanian police.
