The Gmina Gnojno is a rural community in the powiat Buski of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name with around 800 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located about 30 km southeast of Kielce and borders in the south on the municipality of the district town of Busko-Zdrój . The community is dominated by agriculture, potato cultivation is predominant.
Neighboring municipalities are: Busko-Zdrój, Chmielnik , Pierzchnica, Stopnica, Szydłów and Tuczępy. The northern border of the municipality is also the northern border of the powiat.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Kielce Voivodeship . In the period between the world wars, the village of Janowice was the seat of the municipality.
