Douce Steiner

Douce Steiner (born June 10, 1971 in Stuttgart ) is a German cook .

Career

Douce Steiner is the daughter of restaurateurs Hans-Paul Steiner and Claude Steiner, a French woman. She did her cooking apprenticeship with her father, who opened the hotel and restaurant "Hirschen" in Sulzburg in 1980. Then she went to Georges Blanc in Vonnas , where she was the only woman among 45 male colleagues. Then she moved to Fritz Schilling in the Swiss room in Wertheim . On her station with Harald Wohlfahrt in the Schwarzwaldstube in Baiersbronn she met her future husband Udo Weiler. In 1997 she graduated from the hotel management school in Heidelberg with Weiler .

Since 1998 she has been cooking with her husband Udo Weiler (* 1969) and her father at Hirschen in Sulzburg, which was awarded two Michelin stars between 1995 and 2008 .

In 2008 she took over the house from her father. The restaurant was again awarded two stars in Michelin 2012.
