Doug Honegger (born February 24, 1968 in Montreal , Québec ) is a former Swiss - Canadian ice hockey player and player agent .
Career
Doug Honegger is a direct descendant of the Swiss composer Arthur Honegger . Like many young Canadian ice hockey players with a Swiss passport, Honegger took the opportunity to turn his hobby into a profession in Switzerland. In his junior years he was at the Hull Olympiques in the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec, among others, team mate of Luc Robitaille .
In Switzerland he played for HC Ambrì-Piotta , HC Sierre , HC Lugano , HC Friborg-Gottéron and HC Davos . For the Swiss national team he played the world championships in 1991 , 1992 and 1994 . The highlight was the 1992 Olympic participation in Albertville .
In 1996 he ended his active career and made a name for himself as a players' agent. Today he is one of the big hockey agents in Switzerland, he is not married and still lives in Montreal.
