Publications and releases

Down with the King for the first time in May 1993 by the label published profiles Records, the album was released as a CD , LP and MC . In later years it was re-released by various labels.

Charts and reception

Down with the King peaked at # 7 on Billboard's album charts .

The reviews of Down with the King were not exuberant but benevolent. The music database Allmusic lists the album with three out of five possible stars; Among other things, it reads: “If less original than their classic albums, it is damn innovative.” The music magazine Rolling Stone awarded three and a half stars out of five and came to the following conclusion: “ Down with the King is driven by the same infectious enthusiasm and the same in-your-face attitude as the early classics by Run-DMC "
