Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker ( Japanese ド ラ ゴ ン エ イ ジ - ブ ラ ッ ド メ イ ジ の 聖 戦 - , Doragon Eiji - Buraddo Meiji no Seisen for English Dragon Age - Blood Mage no Seisen ) is a Japanese animated film released in 2012. It is based on the computer role-playing game series Dragon Age by the Canadian development studio BioWare . Fumihiko Sori directed the film .

action

The setting is the Ferelden game world from the Dragon Age computer game series . Everywhere in Ferelden there is increasing tension between the magicians and the Order of the Templars, which controls the legitimate exercise of magic and is subordinate to the Church of Andraste. Its aim is to prevent the practice of the frowned upon blood magic. But the ecclesiastical control is increasingly turning into a bloody suppression, triggered by corrupt members of the Templar Order, among other things, which stirs up discontent among law-abiding magicians. In the Kingdom of Orlais, a group of blood magicians is preparing a conspiracy against the Church of Andraste and the Knights Templar on the occasion of the ritual ten-year meeting of all believers. At the center of the plot is the seeker Cassandra Pentaghast, who appeared for the first time in Dragon Age 2 , a member of a Templar elite who is supposed to expose corruption and betrayal within the Templar Order and the Magi Circle. When the blood mages kidnap the magically gifted elf girl Avexis from the custody of the seekers, she is accused of betraying the church. In order to save her own life, she is forced to uncover the background of the conspiracy.
