history

Three meter dirt road was founded on New Year's Day 2011 by Bennet, Hendrik, Philip and André. In the fall of 2011, Finn was added as the second guitarist. All band members come from the Salzhausen community south of Hamburg . After first private appearances, Drei Meter Feldweg played its way into the north final of the Emergenza band contest in the Hamburg market hall in 2012 .

In the summer, the recordings for the first studio album Randale in der Bathtub , which was released in spring 2013, followed. Like all other recordings, the CD was recorded in the Do-It-Yourself in the Manor Station recording studio in Salzhausen. A short time later, the EP Sommer, Sonne, Bier followed with four new songs and a music video for the title track. At the end of 2014, the band separated from bassist André. As a replacement, Simon was accepted into the band, who had not played an instrument up to this point. He learned to play the bass in just a few weeks and has been an integral part of Drei Meter Feldweg ever since. In the following years, appearances with bands such as Third Choice and Rantanplan or in the Volksparkstadion for David Jarolim 's farewell game followed .

At the beginning of 2017, the second studio album Hypermaxx 4000 was released , for which two music videos were released. Several festival appearances followed, such as at the Traffic Jam Open Air and Wilwarin . In 2018 the band played at the Wutzrock and Nonstock Festival, among others .

style

Three meters of dirt road is musically based on models such as Die Toten Hosen , Die Ärzte , Broilers or Montreal , Sondaschule and Rogers . In the early days, the band's style was mostly fun punk . Songs like your mother pulling trucks are still quite bumpy. From the EP Sommer, Sonne, Bier a clear Ska influence can be heard.

With the album Hypermaxx 4000 at the latest , the songs are much more mature and critical. In addition to humorous pieces, there are also socially critical songs such as Camera and Die klugen Menschen . With songs like Not the People and Meister Isegrim , Drei Meter Feldweg denounces the growing xenophobia in Germany.
