Career
Javid Gamsatow started wrestling as a teenager in 2003. He focuses on the Greco-Roman style. He is a member of the Dynamo Gomel sports club and has been coached by Malik Eskendarow since 2006. As an adult he started so far at a height of 1.75 meters in the middleweight, the weight class up to 84 kg body weight (until December 31, 2013). He is a student but earns his living e.g. Currently with the wrestling.
He made his debut at international championships in 2009 at the Junior World Championship (Juniors) in Ankara. He took 5th place behind Babak Hossein Ghorbani Goldasteh, Iran, Alan Chugajew , Russia, Artur Aleksanjan , Armenia and Tuomas Tarino, Finland.
It then took him a few years to achieve a top position among senior citizens in Belarus. This was mainly due to the large number of good wrestlers in his weight class in this country. Above all, Alim Selimow , the 2011 world champion, blocked his start at international championships several times. Selimov also competed in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. 2012 Jawid Gamsatow was used by the Belarusian Wrestling Association at the European Championships in Belgrade. But he lost his first fight there against the experienced Nenad Žugaj from Croatia and ended up in 22nd place in the final result of this championship.
After the resignation of Alim Selimov, Jawid Gamsatow has been number 1 in the middleweight division in Belarus since the beginning of 2013. He started in March 2013 at the European Championships in Tbilisi, but lost his first fight there again. The Turk Selçuk Çebi beat him narrowly with 2: 1 rounds and 2: 1 points. Jawid Gamsatow came in 17th place. In his other starts at international championships he showed himself to be much better and achieved far better results. In July 2013 he came in 3rd place at the Universiade in Kazan behind the Olympic champions Alan Chugajew and Maksim Manukjan from Armenia. At the world championship this year in Budapest he defeated Laimutis Adomaitis from Lithuania and then lost to the eventual world champion Taleb Nariman Nematpour from Iran. But he was able to continue in the consolation round and secured a bronze medal with victories over Alexander Bravo Brazon, Venezuela, Nursultan Tursinow, Kazakhstan and Damian Janikowski , Poland.
