In the same year the ESV had 600 members and established an accordion division. By 1957 the destroyed gymnasium was rebuilt in house, followed by the construction of the sports home in 1959. In 1963 the judo department was founded. In 1970, the Züschen train station in Winterberg, Upper Sauerland , which had been closed four years earlier, was taken over and used as a ski home until it was closed in 2006.

The shooting department was founded in 1972, the karate department in 1973, the jiu-jitsu department in 2000, the archery department in 2002 and the kung fu department in 2010.
