The E Best Continental Cup 2019 took place from December 20th to 22nd in the South Korean capital Seoul . It was the second Continental Cup in three cushion after 2018.

General information

The Ceulemans Continental Cup, newly introduced in 2018, is a three-band tournament in which Europe plays against Asia. In the winning team, each player received US $ 15,000 in prize money. The losers received US $ 5,000 each. The tournament was broadcast live on Kozoom and the Korean sports broadcaster MBC Sports.

Tournament mode

Each continent has eight participants. These were selected according to the last world rankings of the previous year. The game was played in a relay system with 600 points. Up to 200 points were played on each game day. These were divided into eight sessions (sections) of 25 points each. Player 1 Europe and Player 1 Asia played until one of them had the required 25 points. Then the players changed. The players 2 continued to play with the same ball positions until the leading team had reached 50 points, then another player change took place. Only the leading team played to the goal of the game, the other team can continue to play and gain points until the leading team has achieved this. There was only one pool table in the tournament hall. In an anteroom there were two more billiard tables where the players could play. So there were no break in playing when changing players.

The shot clock (time limits) was reduced to 30 seconds in 2019. The playing times were: 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:00 and 22:00 ( CET +8 ).

It was played without a kick -off.
