Eastpoint is a census-designated place (CDP) in Franklin County in the US state of Florida with a population of 2337 (as of 2010).
geography
Eastpoint is about 10 km east of the city of Apalachicola , which is reached via the John Gorrie Memorial Bridge on the other side of Apalachicola Bay . Tallahassee is about 100 km northeast. The CDP is crossed by US Highways 98 and 319 and Florida State Road 65 .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the 2337 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 1166 households. The population density was 123 inhabitants / km². 96.9% of the population identified themselves as white, 0.1% as African American and 0.7% as Native American . 0.5% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.7% to several ethnic groups. 1.7% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 35.4% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 28.8% of all households. 74.4% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring).
