Ebertshausen is a parish village and part of the community of Üchtelhausen in the Lower Franconian district of Schweinfurt .

Geographical location

Ebertshausen is located in the Schweinfurt Rhön , 8 km northeast of Üchtelhausen, 14 km northeast of Schweinfurt and 1 km from Lake Ellertshausen .

State road St 2280 runs west of Ebertshausen in a north-south direction .

The district road SW 6 running through the village goes south into the district road SW 5 to Hesselbach and Reichmannshausen and joins the district road SW 58 to the state road St 2280 and to Fuchsstadt and Wettringen , both parts of the municipality of Stadtlauringen .

history

The first known documentary mention of the place comes from the year 825. Many name changes followed over the centuries, but originally this name meant to the houses of Eburis .

Due to the good quality of the soil, Ebertshausen is characterized by agriculture.

Ebertshausen came to the Schweinfurt regional court in 1804, temporarily to the Mainberg regional court from 1806 to 1820 and finally to Schweinfurt in 1820. Ebertshausen has been Bavarian since 1814 when it took over the Grand Duchy of Würzburg.

On May 1, 1978, the Ebertshausen community, which had no other parts of the community, lost its independence and was integrated into the Üchtelhausen community.

The parish church of St. Margaretha was renovated in 1614. It was the seat of the parish Ebertshausen, which had been independent since 1587.
