Eckweisbach is one of eleven districts of the market town of Hilders in the biosphere reserve of the Hessian Rhön .

The place is in the Scheppenbachtal west of Hilders. State roads 3176 and 3379 intersect in the village .

history

On December 31, 1971, the previously independent municipality of Eckweisbach was incorporated into the municipality of Hilders.

Infrastructure

In the village there is a village community center , the Scheppenbachhaus, a primary school, a kindergarten, a children's playground, a sports field, a campsite, a youth home and a water treading pool.
