Batten is one of eleven districts of the market town of Hilders in the Fulda district in Hesse in the Rhön . The district is a recognized resort .

location

Batten with its district Findlos lies between Buchschirm (746 m), Rhönwald and Findlos Berg (635 m). The federal highway 458 and the federal highway 278 cross in the village .

history

In the Turkish tax register of the abbey of Fulda from 1605 the place is mentioned with 22 families.

Reorganization

On December 31, 1971, the previously independent municipality of Batten was incorporated into the municipality of Hilders as part of the regional reform .
