Dörmbach is one of eleven districts of the market town of Hilders in the biosphere reserve of the Hessian Rhön .

location

Dörmbach is west of the main town. The Harbach and Steinbach rivers flow near the town. State road 3379 runs south of the village. In the village there is a holiday home complex and a country hotel for Rhön tourists.

history

On December 31, 1971, the previously independent municipality of Dörmbach an der Milseburg was dissolved. Its main part with the named place was incorporated into the Hilders community. The district of Langenberg became part of the Hofbieber community .
