Edeka Minden-Hannover ( spelling EDEKA Minden-Hannover) is a regional company within the Edeka network. history

In 1920 the purchasing cooperative Edeka Minden was founded in Minden (Westphalia). Today's Edeka Minden-Hannover company was formed through the amalgamation of various purchasing cooperatives . In January 2003, the trading companies Edeka Minden-Hanover, Edeka Nordwest and Edeka Berlin-Brandenburg were merged into a corporate group as part of the Edeka structural reform.

In autumn 2013, construction work began on the new Lauenau regional warehouse , which was completed in 2014.

Wholesale

  • The central area of ​​the regional company is the delivery wholesaling, which supplies the roughly 1,500 retail stores with goods via eight warehouses and four further distribution centers. As with many other wholesalers, Edeka Minden-Hannover also offers service functions for its retail customers. These include services such as tasks in the areas of human resources, accounting, real estate service, marketing, corporate communications, quality management, shop fitting and facilities.
  • In addition, MIOS wholesale GmbH exists as a subsidiary, which acts both as a C&C pick-up and delivery wholesaler in a regional and national context. Customers include catering establishments, canteens and hotels as well as small-scale retail concepts.

Two thirds of the Edeka stores in the area of ​​the regional company are operated by independent merchants in the Edeka group. Around 400 stores are managed from the headquarters in Minden, so-called Regiebetriebe.
