history

Edenhausen was first mentioned around 1120 under the name "Husen". The area around Edenhausen belonged to the German Emperor and was given to Degenhard von Hellerstein as a fief . In 1179 he sold the place for 100  silver marks to the Premonstratensian monastery of Ursberg . From this point in time until the secularization in 1803, Edenhausen belonged to the area of the Ursberg monastery. During this period from 1179 to 1803, Edenhausen was never pledged or sold as an owner-occupied property. In the Thirty Years War , Edenhausen was almost completely depopulated. The village has belonged to Bavaria since 1803 .
On January 1, 1973, the previously independent community of Edenhausen, to which Krumbad belonged, came to the city of Krumbach as part of the regional reform .
