content

Edison is an up-and-coming American metropolis . During his research work as a court journalist, the young journalist Joshua comes across widespread corruption cases in the FRAT, an elite police unit. On behalf of a secret foundation backed by the city's businessmen, suspects are immediately executed on the scene. This has reduced the number of crimes by up to 80%. In order to bring the backers to light, he has to enter into a difficult partnership with the burned-out journalist Ashford and the ambitious investigator Wallace. Your most important witness is the cop Deed, who is involved in the dark machinations of the police, but doubts and is considering testifying. But Joshua underestimates the ruthlessness and violence of the corrupt authorities. After going to the disco, he and his girlfriend Willow are brutally beaten, after which Willow falls into a coma.

criticism

The lexicon of international films judged that Edison was a "solid thriller", "which once again conjures up the belief in the right conscience and the incontestability of the American press".

The editorial staff of the TV magazine Prisma said: “Director David J. Burke shot the sci-fi thriller, which is not always consistent, based on his own script. Ex-teen crush Justin Timberlake proves his ineptitude as an actor here. In contrast to his colleagues Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman, who once again show that they belong to Hollywood's first guard.
