Edith Graf-Litscher (born March 25, 1964 in Uster ) is a Swiss National Councilor ( SP ).

Edith Graf-Litscher has been National Councilor of the SP Thurgau since 2005. She is a member of the Commission for Transport and Telecommunications (KVF) and the Security Policy Commission (SIK). She is president of the Thurgau trade union federation TGGB. Edith Graf-Litscher works as a union secretary at SEV . She is married to Harry Graf and lives in Frauenfeld . Edith Graf-Litscher is President of the Carnegie Lifesaver Foundation. She is also co-president of the parliamentary group on digital sustainability, the parliamentary group on complementary medicine and the umbrella organization for complementary medicine. She is on the board of LITRA (Information Service for Public Transport). She is also involved in Schwiizer hälfed Schwiizer. In 2019, immunologist Beda Stadler criticized Graf-Litscher publicly for her skepticism about the measles vaccination .

Professional background

From April 1982 to September 1994 she was a rail operator at the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). From October 1994 to December 1996 she was employed by the SBB health insurance company in Zurich, where she was responsible for advice and sales. From January 1997 to May 2005 she was Head of the Service Center Eastern Switzerland, Atupri Krankenkasse Zürich. Graf-Litscher was agency manager Thurgau, ÖKK Versicherungen, from June 2005 to April 2008. Since May 1, 2008 she has been the union secretary at the transport staff union (SEV) in Bern.
