Edivalter Andrade

Edivalter Andrade (born April 17, 1962 in Barra de São Francisco , Espírito Santo , Brazil ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Floriano .

Life

Edivalter Andrade studied at the philosophical-theological institute of the Archdiocese of Vitória and received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of São Mateus on October 8, 1989 . In addition to activities in pastoral care, he completed a postgraduate course for priestly training from 1990 to 1991. From 1990 to 1998 he was a regens of the seminary . In 1997 he stayed in Rome for further studies, from 1993 to 1997 he studied social services at the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES).

From 2002 he was cathedral pastor at the cathedral of the diocese of São Mateus and diocesan commissioner for pastoral care. He also headed the diocesan charity and a radio station, was an economist for the diocese and a member of the priestly council . Until his appointment as bishop he was pastor in his hometown and dean .

On March 29, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Floriano. The Bishop of São Mateus, Paulo Bosi Dal'Bó , donated him episcopal ordination on June 10 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Old Bishop of São Mateus, Aldo Gerna MCCJ , and the Bishop of Crateús , Ailton Menegussi . The inauguration in the diocese of Floriano took place two weeks later.
