Eduard von Anhalt

Eduard Georg Wilhelm Maximilian von Anhalt (born April 18, 1861 in Dessau , † September 13, 1918 in Berchtesgaden ) was Duke of Anhalt for a few months in 1918 .

Life

He was the son of Friedrich I and in 1918 he was Duke of Anhalt for a few months . On February 6, 1895, he married Luise, daughter of Prince Moritz von Sachsen-Altenburg and Auguste von Sachsen-Meiningen . He succeeded his brother Friedrich II , who died in April , but died himself after only a short reign. His successor was his underage son Joachim Ernst under the tutelage of Aribert von Anhalt .
