Eduard Leonidowitsch Lasarew
Eduard Leonidovich Lazarev ( Russian Эдуард Леонидович Лазарев ., Scientific transliteration Eduard Lazarev Leonidovič * 19th December 1935 in Sverdlovsk , now Yekaterinburg, Soviet Union ; † 10. January 2008 in Moscow , Russia ) was a Moldavian -sowjetischer composer of Russian origin.
Life
Lasarew studied composition at the Moscow Conservatory with Semjon Bogatyrjow until his graduation in 1959 . From 1960 he lived in Kishinev , today Chișinău. 1970 to 1972 he worked in the Ministry of Culture of the Moldovan SSR , 1973 to 1975 at the Council of Ministers, from 1980 he worked as a freelancer.
He wrote operas, ballets, concerts and other orchestral works, cantatas, other vocal works and film music. In 1979 his opera The Call of the Revolution ( Leniniana ), a combination of music and historical Lenin speeches , was performed at the Moscow Bolshoi Theater . Lazarev also modernized in 1980 the anthem of the Moldavian SSR composed by Stepan Njaga . Between 1974 and 1983 he wrote one of his main works, a ballet in eight parts based on the novel The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov .
