Eduard Niczky
Eduard Niczky (born July 17, 1850 in Kassel , † May 16, 1919 in Munich ) was a German painter .
Life
Eduard Niczky was the son of an engineer from Kassel. First he attended the Kassel Art Academy . From November 1871 he studied at the Munich Royal Academy of Fine Arts with Arthur von Ramberg . He was best known for his numerous genre pictures and portraits , which are still in well-known collections today. Niczky was a member of the Munich artists' cooperative .
His son was the painter and graphic artist Rolf Niczky , his nephew the photographer Joe Niczky .
