Eduard Staniek
Eduard Staniek , also Eduard Staněk (born October 12, 1859 in Lispitz , South Moravia , Austrian Empire ; † August 25, 1914 in Frankfurt am Main , German Empire ) was a German medalist , sculptor and decorative designer .
Life
Staniek studied from 1882 and 1887 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna . From 1889 to 1892 he was a student of the sculptors Edmund von Hellmer and Stefan Schwartz .
In addition to his work as a medalist, sculptor and designer, he also worked as a carver . He worked as a chaser together with the sculptors Ferdinand Luthmer and Friedrich Christoph Hausmann .
He taught at the Frankfurt School of Applied Arts , where he taught in the chasing class, among others, the medalist Max Lewy (1885–1920), who was also his assistant at times. Staniek was a member of the General German Art Cooperative .

- Cast silver medal from the city of Frankfurt for the mayor of Höchst am Main (1899 to 1911) Viktor Palleske , 1911.
- Silver beehive premium medal on a base with the Hamburg coat of arms of the "Association for the Welfare of the Serving Class" from 1907, for 25 years of loyal service.
