Eduards Višņakovs ( Russian Эдуа́рд Вишняко́в ; born May 10, 1990 in Riga , Latvian SSR ) is a Latvian football player who has been under contract with the Belarusian club FK Shakhtsjor Salihorsk since March 2019 .
Career
society
In 2009 Višņakovs received a contract with the Latvian first division club FK Ventspils and was then loaned to FC Tranzit . In August 2009 he came back to Ventspils and signed a three-year contract until 2012. On August 15, 2009 he played for the first time in the shirt of FK Ventspils. On October 1, 2009, he made his UEFA Europa League debut when he came on in the 88th minute of the game against SC Heerenveen for Edgars Gauračs .
On June 28, 2012 Višņakovs switched to the Kazakh master Shakhtar Karagandy . He played his first game in the Kazakh premjer league just three days later against Tobyl Qostanai when he was substituted on in the 79th minute. In the UEFA Champions League he played on July 17, 2012 with Schakhtar against Czech champions Slovan Liberec , against whom they suffered a 1-0 defeat.
In July 2013 he moved to the Polish first division club Widzew Łódź . There he signed a one-year contract after a trial training session. In his first outing against Zawisza Bydgoszcz (2-1) Višņakovs scored both winning goals for Łódź. At the beginning of December 2013 he extended his contract prematurely until June 2016.
On August 28, 2014 Višņakovs moved to league rivals Ruch Chorzów , where he signed a three-year contract. He made his debut for Chorzów on August 31 against Lechia Gdańsk (3: 3) when he scored a goal for his new club after being substituted on. After just one season he moved to Belgium for KVC Westerlo . He spent the 2016/17 season on loan again at Ruch Chorzów before moving to FK Rīgas Futbola skola in Latvia . Since March 26, 2019 he has been under contract with FK Schachzjor Salihorsk .
National team
Eduards Višņakovs was appointed to a Latvian national team for the first time in 2008. On March 27, 2008, he made his debut for the Latvian U-19 national team in a friendly against Lithuania. On August 11, 2010 Višņakovs played for the first time for the Latvian U-21 national team in a game against Russia.
Višņakovs came on for the first time in the Latvian national football team in the qualifying matches for the 2014 World Cup against Lithuania and Slovakia when he came on in the 77th minute against Lithuania in the game on October 11, 2013 for Māris Verpakovskis .
