Egbert Rosenplänter

Egbert Rosenplänter (* 1948 in Reinhausen near Göttingen ) is a German Protestant pastor , organist , church musician and composer .

Life

Egbert Rosenplänter comes from a working-class family. In Göttingen he attended the humanistic Max-Planck-Gymnasium . From the age of 14 he received organ lessons . After graduating from high school, he studied musicology, philosophy and Protestant theology at the universities in Göttingen and Heidelberg .

At the age of 25, Rosenplänter took over his first pastoral office in Osterwald in the Hameln district for nine years. Then he moved to the pastor's office in Ahausen .

Egbert Rosenplänter composed numerous songs and wrote music theater pieces . Several of his larger theater projects - some of which were published by Deutsches Theaterverlag - were performed at church days .

After his retirement, Egbert Rosenplänter moved to Wennigsen am Deister with his wife, with whom he has four children . He leads the Cantate Choir in Empelde, founded in 2013 .
