coat of arms

Coat of arms of oak

The coat of arms of oak shows a golden oak branch with five golden leaves and five silver acorns on a green background.

The five leaves symbolize the districts of Eiche-Dorf, Hoheneiche, Mehrower Spitze, Eiche Süd A and Eiche Süd B of the formerly independent municipality. The structure of the branch with three leaves pointing to the right (from the viewer) should be reminiscent of an “E” as the first letter of the place name.

After the former community of Eiche had applied for a coat of arms as early as the 1930s, the designs of which are no longer known, the current coat of arms was designed by the Erfurt heraldist Frank Diemar in the late 1990s . It was adopted and confirmed in 2000.
