Eight Inc. is a multidisciplinary design and innovation studio with offices in New York City , San Francisco , Honolulu , Tokyo , Beijing and London . Founded in 1989 by Tim Kobe, Eight Inc. designs residential and commercial properties, products and communication concepts.

Recent projects in the commercial sector include Apple stores, retail channels, trade shows, Nokia flagship stores for Coach Inc. and various assignments for Virgin Atlantic Airways, as well as the creation of a new banking world for Citibank .

Furthermore, designs Eight Inc. private residential buildings and properties with private and commercial use and received including the Architectural Record Honor Award for the design of high-density On The High Ground , a competition for housing projects with mixed-use development in New Orleans that after Hurricane Katrina advertised has been. In 2006, Eight Inc. represented the USA in the exhibition in the American pavilion at the 10th Venice Architecture Biennale .

Eight Inc. designed furniture for METRO, a division of Steelcase , kitchen accessories for Williams-Sonoma , interactive design concepts for Citibank and Nokia, and exhibitions for Herman Miller and Apple .

Current LEED ® -certified projects are 280 Beachwalk, the first LEED ® store complex in Waikiki and the Malama Learning Center, an educational center on the Hawaiian island of Oahu .
