A horse for Klara (original title Klara ) is a Swedish children's film by the director Alexander Moberg , who, together with Petra Norman, wrote the script based on the novel Klaras vintersorg by the writer Pia Hagmar .
action
After her parents divorce, Klara moves to the country with her mother. In order not to appear as an outsider in the new school, she claims that she can ride and even registers for a tournament , even though she has never been on a horse . Because her father forbids her to ride, she secretly learns to ride with the help of the neighbor boy Jonte on the horse Star, which belongs to Bertil Bohm, the landlord of the house in which she lives.
When Bertil wants to take Star to the butcher, Klara can persuade him to take care of the horse. Klara's mother refuses the offer to buy Star for 4500 crowns because she doesn't have the money.
After Klara finished second in the tournament on Star, her mother wanted to buy the horse, but suddenly Bertil asked for a much higher price. When another girl's father offers 40,000 kroner, Bertil agrees, but feels guilty when he notices Klara's indignant reaction.
The following night, Klara and Jonte ride away on Star, and when the buyer wants to pick up the horse the next Mörgen, Bertil uses a trick to get out of the purchase. The two children ride to Klara's father, who is persuaded by his daughter to buy the horse for her.
