content
The sympathetic but somewhat clumsy young journalist Paolo Respighi is followed by bad luck and one day his newspaper throws him in front of the door. But then a blockbuster seems to be waiting for him: A crime committed in the city puts him on the trail of the young millionaire heiress Annie Robson, who is traveling to her wealth on a steamer. However, she is watched by gangsters with two gangs at once. Even the uncle, executor and relatives as well as a business partner who interferes in the affairs are not clean slips. To make matters worse, there is also a doppelganger of the beautiful young lady - Annie 2 - and confuses the whole thing even more. The reporter, on the other hand, eagerly trying to finally grasp his professional luck, can finally solve the rather complicated case. His opponents themselves helped, albeit unconsciously and unintentionally.
Reviews
The Protestant film observer is full of praise: “Lively Italian-French parody of the popular crime and agent film. Good direction and good acting. Amusing to look at. ”The lexicon of international film , however, has a completely different opinion of the work . It calls the film in a nutshell a "lengthy crime game."
