Elftraud "Elfi" Marie Elisabeth Wilhelmina Ulrike von Kalckreuth (born May 22, 1937 in Breslau , Province of Lower Silesia ) is a German author and former television announcer and actress (under the stage name Eva Anthes ).

Life

Von Kalckreuth is the daughter of a frigate captain and a qualified farmer and comes from the Lower Silesian nobility. After being expelled from Silesia , she grew up in Württemberg .

After graduating from high school, she studied philosophy , German and art history for six semesters in Tübingen and Munich . She worked as a radio and dubbing actress, assistant director and film actress. Between 1959 and 1960 she took part in four feature films under the stage name Eva Anthes , including alongside Joachim Fuchsberger in the Edgar Wallace film adaptation of The Frog with the Mask .

In 1957 she had already gained six months of experience as an announcer at Bayerischer Rundfunk , in April 1965 she resorted to it and began to work as a freelance television announcer at ZDF . She was also an editorial assistant in the “Inland Documentation” editorial team. From April 1, 1982 she became a permanent employee of the ZDF with an expanded range of tasks, including a. as head of the service and editor. Kalckreuth was known to the general public in the 1970s and 1980s as a ZDF program announcer; in addition, she moderated music programs and the Sunday early Sunday concert . In her final years at ZDF, after the end of her career as an announcer, she was an editor in the “Schauspiel” editorial team until 1993.

Elftraud von Kalckreuth completed training in gestalt therapy in the USA . In 1998 she trained in existential analysis and logotherapy in Tübingen and Vienna . Since 1992 she has been working voluntarily for the hospice movement and since 1998 as a therapist for existential analysis and logotherapy. She also gives workshops and seminars in these areas . Von Kalckreuth summarized her experiences in the hospice movement in the book On the way with dying people . She gives u. a. With the books Fear as a Friend , Angel for Others, suggestions to deal with difficult life situations in a positive way. In addition, von Kalckreuth published several books on Christian life and meditation CDs. Her latest book is called Reni and Her Strange Friend with His Tales from the Hereafter (2012).

In 2014 her book "Der Weg der 24 Steine" was published by the Mainz publishing house "Salonlöwe".

Since June 2015 she has been writing the blog "Schreckgespenst Alzheimer", in which she deals with her fears of Alzheimer's disease in an unusually cheerful way.
