Elisabeth Stepanek
Elisabeth Stepanek (born August 26, 1952 in Vienna ; † January 16, 1995 there ) was an Austrian actress .
Life
After graduation at night school , she received acting lessons at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. In 1972 she accepted an engagement at the Schauspielhaus Bochum under Peter Zadek . She stayed until 1976 and played, among others, Jessica in The Merchant of Venice , Teresa in Behan's Die Geisel and Eliza in Shaw's Pygmalion . Then she appeared on Hamburg, Munich and Berlin stages. As a young actress, she was awarded the Kainz Medal .
She took part in television films from 1972, including in the role of Maria Huber in the 4th, 5th and 6th part of the six-part Alpensaga . In 1981 she was known as the leading actress in the film The moon is just a naked ball . Here she played the dreamy peasant girl Anni, who finally got married and then fell into a new routine.
Stepanek was buried at the Hernalser Friedhof (R-90).
