Elisabetta Cocciaretto (born January 25, 2001 in Ancona ) is an Italian tennis player .
Career
Cocciaretto started playing tennis at the age of five. So far she mainly plays on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , where she has won four tournaments in singles and one in doubles.
In 2018 she started in all junior women competitions of the Grand Slam tournaments. She reached the semi-finals at the Australian Open , which she lost against eventual tournament winner Liang En-shuo with 6: 4, 3: 6 and 6: 7 5 . She also took part in all three tennis disciplines of the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games .
In 2019 she received a wildcard for the Internazionali BNL d'Italia , her first tournament on the WTA Tour , where she was defeated by Amanda Anisimova 3: 6 and 3: 6 in the first round .
At the Fed Cup 2018 she played for the Italian Fed Cup team for the first time . She lost the double at Jasmine Paolini's side .
