Eliteserien (chess) 2010/11
The 2010/11 elite series (alternative name: Chess Attack series after the main sponsor) was the fifth season of the Norwegian elite series in chess .
The defending champion Oslo Schakselskap became Norwegian team champions . The north beach Sjakklubb and Trondheim Sjakkforening had risen from the 1st divisjon last year, and both of them descended immediately. Game dates
The competitions took place on 5th, 6th and 7th November 2010, 21st, 22nd and 23rd January, 1st, 2nd and 3rd April 2011. All competitions were held centrally in Oslo .
Season course
After the Oslo Schakselskap lost to the Moss Schakklub in the fourth round , they were in second place behind Porsgrunn Team Buer until the seventh round . With a win in direct comparison, Oslo took the lead and maintained it in the final round. Before the last round, the relegation of Trondheim Sjakkforening could not be avoided, for the second relegation place with the Asker Schakklubb , the Akademisk Sjakklubb Oslo , SOSS and the Nordstrand Sjakklubb four teams came into question. In the last round Asker won against SOSS and Akademisk against Nordstrand, so that Nordstrand was relegated.
