Elite series (chess) 2009/10

The 2009/10 Elite Series was the fourth season of the Norwegian Elite Series in chess .

The Norwegian team champion was the Oslo Schakselskap , which won all competitions and relegated the defending champion Moss Schakklub to second place by a clear margin. SOSS and Kristiansund SK were promoted from the 1st divisjon last year . With SOSS, a newcomer reached relegation in the elite series for the first time, while Kristiansund had to relegate together with Oslo Vest . Game dates

The competitions took place on November 6th, 7th and 8th, 2009, January 8th, 9th and 10th, April 9th, 10th and 11th 2010. All competitions were held centrally in Oslo .

Season course

While the Oslo Schakselskap had already secured the title two laps before the end, the decision in the relegation battle was only made in the final round.
