Eliteserien (chess) 2017/18
The 2017/18 elite series was the twelfth season of the Norwegian elite series in chess .
The defending champion Vålerenga Sjakklubb won all competitions and was again champion. The Alta Sjakklubb and the Akademisk Sjakklubb Oslo had risen from the 1st divisjon . Both newcomers achieved relegation, while the Stavanger Sjakklub and the Black Knights Oslo had to relegate.

Game dates
In the first three rounds, two competitions each took place on November 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2017 in Stavanger and three each on December 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2017 in Oslo . The following rounds were held centrally in Oslo on January 12th, 13th and 14th as well as March 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2018.
