The Ellenbach , also called Ellernbach , in the Thuringian district of Sonneberg is a 1.2 km long, eastern and orographically left tributary of the Effelder on the Schalkau plateau .

course

The Ellenbach rises in the municipality of Frankenblick 1.1 km north-northeast of the village Rückerswind in the Säupfitsch . It flows through the Ellernbachtal and the Hirschstell , passing six ponds. The stream flows into the Kalter Hof corridor 800 m below Döhlau in the Itz tributary Effelder.
