Rückerswind is a district of the community of Frankenblick in the district of Sonneberg in Thuringia .

The name of the village, built around a pond on the Sandberg , indicates the settlement. After 1952, the situation with the inner-German border resulted in a GDR restricted area. Rückerswind can be reached via Kreisstraße 15. Around the district the field corridor, then forest and to the west and south the former inner-German border.
