Forschengereuth is a village in the Mengersgereuth-Hämmern district of the Frankenblick community in the Sonneberg district in Thuringia .
history
Main Franconian settlers settled in the 13th century. Forschengereuth is first mentioned in a document in the land register, Count Heinrich VIII von Henneberg Forschengeruth, dated 1340/47 . The old trade route from Coburg to Erfurt leads directly through this district.
In 1923 Forschengereuth merged with the neighboring towns of Mengersgereuth, Hammern andschichtshöhn under the name Mengersgereuth-Hammern .
On January 1, 2012, Forschengereuth became part of the Frankenblick community as part of the merger of the communities of Effelder-Rauenstein and Mengersgereuth-Hammern .
