location
The village is a few hundred meters northwest of Seltendorf. There is a so-called dock on the way to Roth. The sandstone stele is probably the remains of a wayside shrine from the pre-Reformation period.

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1157. In 2008, 330 people lived in the village.
