Ravens is a part of the community of Frankenblick in Thuringia . The place has about 330 inhabitants.
geography
Rabenüßig is located above the Effelder valley at about 580 meters above sea level on the southern edge of the Thuringian Slate Mountains near the B89 and consists of the towns of Hohetann , Rabenüßig, Fichtach and Melchersberg . The core of the settlement is around Melchersberg and Fichtach, where important local facilities are available with the fire station , restaurant and cemetery chapel.
history
The municipality was created around 1830 through the merger of the hamlets of Hohetann, Rabenüßig, Fichtach and Melchersberg. On June 30, 1994 it was incorporated into Effelder-Rauenstein . As of January 1, 2012, as part of the merger of the municipalities of Effelder-Rauenstein and Mengersgereuth-Hammern, Rabenüßig became part of the municipality of Frankenblick .
