The Ellerbach is a 10-kilometer-long left tributary of the swell in the Eichsfeld Basin in the Gieboldehausen municipality in the district of Göttingen in Lower Saxony .
course
The Ellerbach rises with two headwaters in a forest area west of Krebeck . It touches the village to the south, passes under the B27 and reaches Wollbrandshausen . Further down the stream it changes its direction of flow slightly from east to north-east and flows into the swell at the southern development boundary of Gieboldehausen . Alternatively, a short branch of the wallow, which flows north of Rollshausen into the Hahle, can be seen as the point where it flows out; the branch arm of the wallow running parallel to the Hahle therefore flows into the Ellerbach in front of Gieboldehausen.
