description

With this class, the Reichseisenbahn Elsaß-Lothringen tried for the first time to procure a standard locomotive with uniform construction principles, since the vehicles acquired up to now were expensive to maintain due to the various spare parts required. The vehicles had an inner frame, horizontal cylinder, a control of the type Stephenson, a Belpairekessel and a large steam dome . Some of the vehicles were in service until after the First World War . The locomotives were given type 2 T 9.5 tenders .
